WHY CHOOSE WINTER TYRES?
It has long been a culture in the UK, NOT to fit winter tyres to our vehicles because we feel we don't get enough snow on the ground to warrant it. But did you know that the rubber compound on summer and winter tyres are designed completely different, and that in temperatures BELOW 7 degrees, winter tyres will significantly reduce your braking distances, with OR without snow. In effect they should be called 'cold weather tyres'.
